Actually, I had been searching for the thin magnetic sheet for weeks, and what a surprise I found it today! It seems like, I had sandwiched the magnetic sheet in between some heavy books, because it was crooked before. lol.
I cut it to strip then stick it behind the pans. I also cut the white plastic sheet to be the palette and then discover that it won't fit the mister anymore. lol. The Plastic sheet and the magnetic sheet does have certain thickness added up. *smacked head*
Now I need to find a slimmer mister...

Amphitheater, what a fascinating curve element to design after the modular boxy barracks. In fact, I am so lost with the scale, it is much harder to scale for curve elements, to me.
After completing it, the first thought I have is that, with the water features and plants interweaving, the whole design looks more NICE than Luxror. :/ I can create a reason or history that NICEan was brought in to design it. Still, I would love to see a more opulent and more incredulous lavish extravagant amphitheater that could match Luxror's grandness.
When I was scanning it, I noticed that... It doesn't really suit the culture of Luxror to have outdoor amphitheatre at all. lol. They are more indoor kind. That means, I have to find a space in the palace to create an indoor auditorium. Preferably the ones that could connect both Royal Chambers of Amphitheatre and Auditorium together. Some sort of mirror image layout, one in, one out.

Even though I wanted to put down the barracks detail to later, but that is what filled up my mind the whole day. I worked out the module and calculated roughly how many people can fit in the barracks. I provided a rather generous space for the guards, in my opinion. If still not enough space, I would either work on same bed share with 2 different shift persons, this would double the whole amount, which is great short cut.
See how modular and discipline the barracks is? The width is controlled at 10m, the length could be consider, but the shape more or less there. Which means, my palace have to be at least 2 or 3 times the barrack size... My barrack is now 60 x 10, then the palace would be at least 180 x 30, which is a huge space to fill.

Barracks, is where the guards would operate, living and working in it. It is a pretty discipline job and function, making the whole design of that particular zone so much easier to approach.
When the layout became easy, now I have to consider and determine whether the scale of the building enough to house however many guards to protect the palace AND the whole palace compound. If I use the barracks as a base point to start in terms of scale, then I would have to adjust the size of the palace accordingly. The way of things works in most palace castle is that, the biggest building should be the palace.

Compiling all I have research to build this Infinem Palace for my NaNo project. My story's next arc would take place there and I would love to get a proper layout before November hits.
After deciding the spaces to include in this palace, I zone them into different categories. Depending on their functions, relationships to each spaces and the requirement of each spaces. It took me quite a while to get it done.
Contrary to work from a bigger site to small, other than I have the idea the palace to be situated higher than the city surrounding it, the environment has no details whatsoever. This time, I build up from a building and see what it needs. My starting point is the palace shape at the centre, and how long that shape took me to finalized.
After zoning them out, now I can start my OCD designing portion by portion.

Using the other side of the same pastel blue paper where I tested the drawing pastel yesterday, figuring it is a better background to see all the metallic colors. Alas, it is either I chose the wrong paper color or the Derwent Metallic pencil is just not up to standard or it is what it is intended to be. :/
If you can't tell, the creamiest one is still the Pewter. :/

Pastel, drawing pastel. I don't have much experience with pastel and it is really messy.
It always bugs me when I see people smudge with their fingers instead of using tissue. Now I understand why. Somehow, finger smudging is smoother than using tissue. Maybe I should try sponge next, since pan pastel is using some kind of sponge. However, I am not that confident in cheap make up sponge, after seeing some people testing with cheap make up sponge.
