Bluestacks & Magic Poser

8th day of 2021.

Exploring some applications to help in posing and I spend time looking into emulators and a certain Magic Poser app.

Bluestacks is a pretty famous Android emulator for PC. I always go with the top few software to try. Works quite well.

Magic Poser is a rather simple and useful software. As the name suggest, it is a tool for posing. It does have freemium items to buy like background, clothing and accessories. However, if only using it for posing reference, it is free.

I use emulator because I want to use Magic Poser on a big computer screen, however, Magic Poser is designed on a touch base controls, thus it is not translate well into using mouse as control.

Happy New Year! 2020!

The only major win is graduated from Master course.
A disappointing wrap up of 2019 though, in general overview.
NaNo just barely scrape through, trip not done...

Hope for a much better year in 2020.

Sketchup Extension - 1001 Bits

142nd day of 2019.

I am slow to getting know about all the warehouses resources current sketch up has. I am pleasantly surprise to see such convenient extension like 1001 Bits.

The rest of the day spent to play around with the different functions it can do.

Reading 2018, Writing 2019 to 2020

Performed even worse compared to last year. Forgot the fact of keeping up to tab of weight and skin condition. lol.

 

Creating logo QR code

It is fun creating QR code, although non-functional. But quite a good touch for my university project with an advance technology theme.

1st day of 2018.

Oh wow, what a year of hectic schedule. I felt that I failed myself when reading last year letter. Totally forgot more than half of the content of the letter.

Now, this is a full 2 year blog, the labels is growing to a point that touch my OCD nerves. Really need to get on and check out some multi site options or any sort of organizing widgets... if there is.

Online Dos Game

120th day of 2017.

Today is pretty nostalgic for me, as I seemed to  manage to stumbled upon some Disney DOS game of the 1990s. Found a free to play online dos game website, played a few of them, very happy now.

M.Arch Folio 01 - Layout

Upon tinkering with Wix for quite a few hours, I have done structuring the Portfolio format, color scheme, font and the mapping of it. 

Generally grayscale and dark background, clean (boring) archi-ish minimalist text font also in a few selected range of grays. Ocassionally with a pop of pastel brown tan colour.

Website Builder - Wix

90th day of 2017.

I had known about this particular website builder service for 3 ~ 4 years, rather interested with it, first with its catchy name and secondly at the back of my head, I had been meaning to look into it for my future website building.

As it turned out, my university finally stepped into the digital world and required us to prepare digital portfolio, one of the system they mention is Wix. I spent a few hours playing with Wix and very satisfied with the features and freedom it provide.

However, currently I am very frustrated with the lag, it will often come to a point where the whole page freeze. 

Mail from the Past. Again to the Future 2018.

1st day of 2017.

Oh wow, it had been a whole year since this daily blog started! I am very thrilled to achieve this goal, albeit I guess, I cheated a bit with the shopping haul post. Anyway, I actually misremembered that the letter from the past reaching by end of the year instead of the 1st day of the new year. lol. I should have read it yesterday.

Generally, the biggest challenge is the Project 366 blog, which is quite a success. The others are just so so, but just one thing I completely forgotten that I did set a deadline for myself to complete. A Art debt that I owe a person now flashing new record of lateness.

This is bad, this is terrible. I must complete it as soon as possible now.

Of course, and again, I used back the same service to the future twelve months me.

Font Finder from Raster

98th day of 2016.

At work today, well, actually yesterday, I was delegated a task to find some fonts. Because it is a logo of another company, we only have the raster image file. Due to some reasons, we would love to find the font type of the brand name. If unable to find the font type, we would have to tediously trace the font line by line.

At first, being able to identify the font type family, I browse through the free font download websites. After going through more than twenty pages, I feel that is rather inefficient. Staring at the noisy raster image, I was thinking... "If only there is a programme that can idendify font from raster image..."

This sparks an inspiration in my head, and I insert "find font with image" in Google. Had been typing too much ahead already, the rest is history.

I am glad to be able to explore this particularly fresh angle of looking at things. Very eye opening. 

New Artherapy Project & Time travel?

1st day of 2016.

The day I started this Project 366, or smartly named i·DeA Days.
A year long commitment of being productive.
I made myself a promise to do one Artherapy everyday.

2016 has 366 days, which is quite challenging for an amateur who have trouble keeping these things updated. As an added pressure, I sent an email to my future self, an email of questioning my success or failure of this project.

Futureme is a service that provide scheduled email. There are quite a few websites providing similar services, even your own email host could have that schedule email function. But using my own email just don't have the same vibe as receiving it from 'someone' not by my own name. I chose this particular website because it is well named for my purpose.

This shall serve as a subconscious reminder that I have a future self to fulfill to. If I want to be happy at the end of this year, I would need to uphold my commitment. Imagine the frustration when receiving the email and I failed this project... >.<
