152nd day of 2016.
The more I use the Frixion, the more I feel the inks are pretty pale. Whilst doing Frixion Point, I glared at the Frixion Highlighter, especially Yellow color. Yellow is the lightest color, in the test few months ago, it is already very hard to show on white paper.

Frixion Colors
151st day of 2016.
Last week, I realised that I haven't really use the Frixions to draw the Frixions. While sketching with Frixion Colors, I am not entirely sure whether I may purchase other colors in the future... so I signed each color with its own date.
As of now, the page is largely blank for the future collection, if there is.

Trixiel Flower 02
150th day of 2016.
Further designing my Trixiel flower for NaNo piece. I want the core to be fluffy in an appearance much like cotton flower and the size of the flower is just a tad bit bigger to look similar like Baby Breaths when in a bunch.
Down to the very detail of the... pistil or stamen. I am drawing inspiration from Dandelion, some special furry Carnation species and Baby Breath again.

Scrap Folder made of Scrap
149th day of 2016.
I had been looking at the untidy piles of blank loose papers for a while now. Today, I rummaging through my 'leftover' scrap materials, and decided to make a scrap folder to keep my loose papers.
The most common paper sizes I use are A3, A4 and A5. I am half way there, but stuck on how to bind the A5...

148th day of 2016.
This should be the last compilation of musical instruments. Then on, I should be able to choose the sound I want in my amateur piece.

Chop Seal Stamp
147th day of 2016.
Months ago, I did a study on Royalties and Nobilities rankings and such. Another very important item that resembles them would be their official Seal, Stamp or Chop, especially on documents.
I compiled the most common ancient type of Seal, mostly based on Eastern and Western. I am sure there are other materials or way of sealing the deal with a seal.
The parameters or criteria that could play around with are size, craving depth, handle, ink, wax, material, embellishment

Witch Tower 03 - Planning
146th day 2016.
Following on yesterday's Disciple's Chamber, this is the Master's Chamber. The Master is a free spirited person, straightforward and casual. Having live a long time, through ages and eras, the Master definitely have enough time to not just collect stuff but also obtain a lot of skills.
Being a rather energetic person, the Upper deck does not come with railing, so she could just jumped down to the lower deck, not using the stair. It may not be clear, depending on whether you know how to read it, but the Bath room is indeed open up to the upper deck. She could certainly flew down to the huge pool below rolling off from her bed.

Witch Tower 02 - Planning
145th day of 2015.
There are 2 residents in the Witch Tower, the Master and Disciple. The Master is a very generous person and being living a long enough time, had accumulated a lot of stuffs. In the previous sketch that shows a cut section of the whole tower, it started to really sink into the fact that the Tower is actually 13 floors height! O__O
That is rather... tiring to climb up and down each day. Right now, I am too satisfied with how the Tower grows to consider the resident's stamina. Who knows, the more ancient people most probably have better physique than modern people. XD
The Bedrooms are way up high, and being the important place for the 2 residents to spend most of their time in, I used them as a base to determine the final diameter of the tower. First of, since the Disciple would be the main character, the first planning is for her.

Book Binding - Paper
144th day of 2016.
Talking about Paper, there are just lots of different type of Papers to choose from. When getting involved into hand bind books, I have already thought of binding different type of papers together. Alas, it is an idea already thought out by someone else in a Kickstarter programme. Oh well, I would still bind the Papers I like in the order I love.
There are several criterias of Papers. From the Size, to Color, Weight/Thickness, Edges, Texture, Pattern, even Scented paper. It would be very fun to make a book with compilation of different Papers.

Witch Tower 01 - Design
143rd day of 2016.
All through this week, I had been tinkering on details of a certain tower in my NaNo story. This would be my second time I take on a full attempt in figuring out the tower. Previously, last year I had sort out the spaces inside the Tower, the facade and the outlook design. But I put it aside when comes to the technical part. Especially the height and stairs with the headroom.
After scraping for a few times, I finally decide that I have to do it to scale. I felt kinda dumb for not taking the sketch to scale previously, because I surely have enough headroom. Anyway, finally came to a concluded section which will show the height of each room.
It is not as slim as I want it to be, I will see how many more headroom I can steal to add some height to it.

Instrument Basic - Horizontal Brass
142nd day of 2016.
I think I know how to group the Brass better. When looking upon the French Horn, it really intrigues me on where the bell is facing. Most of the Brass blow horizontally to the front, but French Horn blow down exit to the back.
Though this is not about French Horn but it is a very intriguing characteristic.

Botany - Petal Layout
139th day of 2016.
A bit busy today, stocking up quite a lot of work. However, the petals layout is completed. There are a lot more technical terminology that I really am too tired or short in time to comprehend...
I only sketched down the ones I understand. So I leave some blank space in case that I understood what it means and add it back into the page.

Wheistadeur Emblem - Ingwar Weapon
137th day of 2016.
Because of what I based Ingwar to be, I have certain attachment to it comparing to other countries in the world of Wheistadeur. Or maybe my OCS and Perfectionism are kicking in at this time.
Besides, it is still a good study on the world's weapons. Ingwar being a country that builds on strength, everything that have to do with warring is very advanced over there.

Staple Book
136th day of 2016.
I retrieved a A1 size around 125 gsm cartridge paper from my old University Craft Supply Stash, cutting down to A4 size to fold it in A5 and make into a simple booklet. I completed the fold, cut, staple, rounding corners and sanding in around half an hour. I am very surprised how quickly it could be done.

Instrument Basic 10 - Trombone
135th day of 2016.
It is a lazy Saturday for me. I was planning to add some more embellishments to my experimental Accordion Book, but the laziness really kicked in this time. So I did the simplest thing at the moment that I can bring myself into.

Instrument Basic 09 - Clarinets
134th day of 2016.
As I researched along, it is not surprising that I get to realize how shallow is my understanding on musical instruments. There are a whole lot of Clarinets, but Musescore only has 3 of them.

Flower Mini Contest 02
131st day of 2016.
Adding in stems and leaves, it is complete~
I feel like the flower seemed to be a rather good subject to be painted by soft pastel. *stares at the untouch cheap soft pastel set in art trolley*
Not sure what flower it is, and I hope there is nothing like the flower in this world. It is suppose to be fantasy and not like real life.

Flower Mini Contest 01
130th day of 2016.
There is a mini art contest held at one of the avatar site I frequent, www.menewsha.com. The theme is flower and fantasy flowers are encouraged. Which is so up to my alley. I quickly come out with whatever I am thinking and sketched out the flower~
Clearly, it is a very quick sketch. As I messed up the buds blooming petals. lol.

Onyx Experiment
129th day of 2016.
Just like how I experimented with Col-Erase, I sketched the simple two pencils.
I am not really sure whether it is their properties, but they are not easy to smudged. I failed at the shadow part.

Accordion Book 02 - Cut & Glue
128th day of 2016.
I rummaged through my leftover boards in my University days and chose the craft board as the first experimental cover. Cutting them to size and then glue them using PVA glue. Lastly clip them together to dry~

Accordion Book 01 - Cut & Fold
127th day of 2016.
For this first time, I used a very weathered down old no-brand 300gsm watercolor paper. From an A0 size paper, I cut down a strip and fold it to A6 size. That would give me around 8 sheets of paper or 16 pages.
Would be doing a cover for it maybe tomorrow.

Botany - Petal Shape
126th day of 2016.
Then to the shape. I have tried to sketch down in different categories, but not so clear. The sizes and lengths are all relative to the indicative pistil. I just came to know that even pistil have various different types. O__O
I stumbled upon a very useful website, Wild Flower Finder. It has a very huuuuuuge flower library and very smart search categories.

Botany - Petal Petals?
125th day of 2016.
As I approach Missphisity, the fictional country based heavily on Flora and Fauna, I would like that their representative flower to be a unique one. For this story, I would also love to have more fictional flowers since I am lazy to research for the real ones. lol.
So, the best way to come out with fantasy flower? Divide the flower into parts, search for the different characteristics of the parts and compile them into template. This time, I do the petal count first.
Then, to explore the shape, the size, the layout, etc.

Derwent Onyx
122nd day of 2016.
After some hectic weeks, I went out to do some shopping again, looking at art supplies and phone. Forgeting that I left my camera in office, so... decided to test out the Derwent pencils I bought.
I thought the Derwent Artist pencil is a normal pencil, but turns out to be Colour Pencil, though it kinda erase quite okay. The art shop should organize and arrange their open stock shelf well. :/
