Clothes - Clergy Costume 1

For my NaNo piece, the costume for the priest and priestess is somewhat firmed to be greek or roman, flowy chiton, peplos type. Now exploring the different accessories and garments as a obvious 'uniform'.

Acrylic Skin Test 3

Looks like the clear plastic is not working well as a base to work acrylic skins. It sticks too much.

Gloss gel is easier to peel off. String gel is okay to peel off, but it is quite sticky. Matt gel has a bit textured, and it sticks to the clear plastic stronger. Generally, it feels like the glossier medium has better chance to be peeled off nicely.

Other than the gloss surface, thickness could also help provide structural strength to the skin. The thicker the nicer it is to peel off. 

Acrylic Skin Test 2

The acrylic paint applied with gloss and matte gel successfully peeled of from the watercolor palette. The other two color on the clear plastic adhere too much and unable to scrap off in one piece.

I wonder whether I added medium or gel when doing it on the clear plastic, will have to test again. The finished product kinda inspired me to do a collage style flower painting.

Acrylic String Gel

String Gel, another acrylic medium. It has glossy finish, which could be the reason it does not adhere to paint well after it is dried.

 

Acrylic Skin Test 1

I am trying to test out what sort of plastic I have to see whether I can peel of some acrylic skin. The problem of language is that there seemed to be different naming of the same plastic depending on different countries.

The clear plastic is some plastic sheet bought from artshop for the purpose of modelling. Even tested at the back of some cheap watercolor plastic palettes.

Games - Townsmen

When talking about game genre, my favourite is management game. From little things like cooking to city planning. Lately, I am playing a certain app game called Townsmen, I like how it is not so real time based as compared to many other games.

Other than the game aspect, I am paying even more close attention to the design of buildings, very interesting. I would regard it as a sort of research. ha!

It would also help in my long laster urban planning of the Infinem city. 

Acrylic Glazing & Airbrush medium

Airbrush medium thin paint into watery consistency, more matte than glazing medium. Glazing medium increase transparency and add gloss. I would figure normal gloss medium would only add gloss without disturbing transparency.

Muse Poster Paper

Figuring to test out a sort of poster paper produced by Muse. At the same time, see how waterproof pentel brush pen is.

 The paper is not thick enough for heavy water color application. However, the paper was marketed to produce best watercolor gradation technique.

Pentel Brush Pen

Finally tried on the famous pentel brush. It is softer than I expected, will take some use to. But the flexibility of the line width is amazing.

 Not sure whether it is due to the pen being freshly loaded, there is certain dry brush effect which is interesting. Will test and see gain few days later.

Winsor Newton Iridescent Medium

Shiny iridescent medium, scans don't do it justice.
Mix in with water color has much even distribution compared to layer on dry watercolor.
Iridescent's particles are thick and produces brush strokes.

WInsor Newton Texture Medium

Texture medium is fine powdery substance. Not sure whether is it because I don't know how to use it, but it is very pesky and messy. The fine powder doesn't seemed to stick well onto the paper.

Winsor Newton Granulation Medium

It seems like there are certain colors that react well to granulation effect.
